Freedom 5K Inc., a 501(c)3 organization was founded in 2018 by Tyler Lewis, an 11-year-old (now 13) from Ormond Beach, FL.
Tyler has grown up admiring and respecting all aspects of the military and first responders. However his mission ultimately began in early 2018 with a trip to the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, FL. Submerging himself into the museum’s exhibits and hearing what our country’s elite warriors endure spurred Tyler into action, wanting to give back to those same individuals as well as every other courageous woman or man, and animals (we can never forget the brave K9s who work alongside their handlers) who have made sacrifices protecting us and our nation.
Freedom 5K’s mission is to raise awareness and make a difference in the lives of military, veterans, and first responders.
Tyler’s vision for Freedom 5K Inc. is to assist and reach as many organizations and individuals as possible. This can only happen with your help. Freedom 5K Inc. hosts fundraising events year round such as; 5K run/walks, raffles, and other functions. Sponsorship opportunities are available and much appreciated.
