Charity Spotlight: Operation Freedom Dogs

PTS is a serious matter affecting a significant number of our nation’s veterans. While there is no cure for PTS, there are resources available to assist those diagnosed with it, one of them being pet therapy.

We recognize there are a number of groups helping to tackle this very important problem, however today we would like to shine a light on one particular non-profit group who is taking on this vital issue one service dog at a time.

Operation Freedom Dogs, based in Flintstone, GA, is a 501c3 non-profit organization intensely focused on providing an avenue for combat veterans with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) to gain a Service Dog free of charge while reconnecting to the society they fought for.

Here at Freedom 5K Inc., our focus is raising awareness and making a positive difference in the lives of our military personnel, veterans, and first responders.

We are hoping to make another positive change starting today as we launch our next charity campaign in which all proceeds raised will benefit the Operational Freedom Dogs organization.

Starting today and thru August 31, accept the “fun-challenge” and donate $1.00 for this great cause. To help keep the challenge alive please we are asking individuals to share this message on their social media pages and challenge your friends and family. Just $1.00 and a simple share will assist us in reaching our goal. Click here to donate.

Together we can all make a difference!
